Our Story

Stone House.png

The founders of our farm moved to southeast Saskatchewan in the late 1800’s. In 1905 the stone house was built which became known as Granite Lodge.  This house has remained an integral part of the family farm. Many memories have been created here.

Grain farming has been the backbone of our business and continues to remain so as we strive to find solutions to improve our production and achieve our soils potential.

In 2005 we made the venture into the seed business. 15 years later we decided it was time to brand ourselves as Cornerstone Seed. This serves as a reminder of where we have come from and where we would like to continue to go.

As 5th generation farmers, we appreciate the hard work that has gone before us and recognize that building a legacy on a solid foundation is the only way to insure its survival.

Will & Sue Crosson are the 4th generation to reside in Granite Lodge. They currently farm with their 2 sons Lee (Jenaya & Family) and Max.

As a family we are never satisfied with the status quo, but are continually modifying whether it’s equipment, farming practices or crop rotations.

This has led us to become Select Plot growers which gives us access to the newest varieties long before they hit the market place.  Through this we gain first hand knowledge and experience so we can share relevant information with our customers.
